DTS maintains SAS 70 Type II compliance
ENGLEWOOD, CO – Dimension Technology Solutions, Inc., the premier applications interface provider for enterprise asset management intensive organizations, announced it has successfully completed its annual Statement of Auditing Standard No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II certification.
The certification signals that DTS has lived up to the rigorous requirements of the SAS 70 certification that it first received three years ago, said David Brown, the company's executive vice-president.
"This certification is a much more rigorous audit of the SAS 70 processes that we put in place back in 2006," Brown said. "DTS customers can feel confident that with the completion of this more rigorous SAS 70 Type II audit, our applications, the systems that they run on, the infrastructure that feeds them and the customer data that we work with are accurate, stable and secure."
Issued under guidance established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the SAS 70 report provides assurances regarding specific control and security objectives that Dimension Technology Solutions, Inc. has designed. A third-party review of DTS’s security and operational controls, especially when financial and personal data is involved, is becoming increasingly necessary in today's marketplace. Obtaining and maintaining the SAS 70 certification for the past four years demonstrates compliance with the high standards of due care for security and risk controls and serves to increase trust among DTS, its customers, partners, and their auditors.
About SAS 70 Type II Audit
A Type II audit reviews controls that the firm undergoing the audit has had in place for a defined time period, typically six months or longer. The audit addresses with the fairness of the presentation of the controls, the design of the controls with regard to their ability to meet defined control objectives, as well as the operational effectiveness of those controls over the defined period. Third parties are better able to rely on these reports because a verification is provided regarding these matters over substantial period of time.
“We are very proud of our own internal standards, and we take our annual audits very seriously,” said Dave Koelzer, DTS's President. “Our customers depend on us for the security and accuracy of their data, and we're committed to doing whatever it takes to keep that trust."
