Challenge:

Arch Coal has a very diverse operation, ranging from underground mines in West Virginia to surface coal mines in Wyoming. 
With the diversity in operations came diversity in process.  The challenge they faced was getting to a single process so 
that key performance indicators had similar meaning across all of their different sites.  Arch Coal implemented eMESA on 
the Mincom Ellipse platform to help standardize their processes, workflow and scheduling.  With a single way of doing 
business the KPI’s could then be rolled up by site and compared in a meaningful manner.

Arch Coal implemented eMESA as a web-based front-end to Mincom Ellipse for over 350 end users to facilitate and streamline
